Skills are markdown procedures your AI agent discovers and runs on demand — a place for anything you would otherwise re-explain every session.

A skill is a directory containing SKILL.md, or a plain .md file in a skills root. Discovery walks global (~/.gray/skills) and project (.gray/skills, up to the git root) locations, respecting .gitignore, .ignore and .fdignore. The model gets the current skill list every turn and reads a match with bash, so there is no separate skill tool.
